The Links at Audubon is centrally located near the University of Memphis, and is a great choice for a municipal court that not only charges incredibly affordable green fees at less than $20, but also welcomes beginners to practice with only moderately difficult courses. Designed by John Stevens, the Audubon golf course opened in 1952 and features 6,488 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70.

For those interested in checking out a more difficult private course, look no further than TPC Southwind, a championship golf course which is the PGA TOUR's only private club in the state of Tennessee and home to the PGA TOUR's FedEX St. Jude Classic. Located within the gated lifestyle community of Southwind in Southeast Memphis, TPC Southwind includes full service golf, a practice facility, and numerous dining options. At the beginning of 2012, the championship golf course placed #23 in Golf World magazine's Exclusive PGA Tour Course Rankings. To boot, the layout was designed by acclaimed architect Ron Prichard, with PGA players Fuzzy Zoeller and Hubert Green collaborating as consultants.

Mirimichi, formerly known as Big Creek, is another course that offers challenges around every fairway bend where accuracy is key. Justin Timberlake recently spent $16 million in renovating Mirimichi, which is the course where he discovered his passion for the game while growing up. On top of being touted as a top-flite golfing experience, Timberlake and his fellow investors set a goal to make Mirimichi the “greenest” golfing destination in the United States. It happens to be the first course to be deemed a Certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary, replete with deep pit bunkers, elevated greens, native grassland, waterfalls and twisting creeks.
