BEST OF: SBS Tournament of Champions 2017 – Day 1

The SBS Tournament of Champions kicked off yesterdayin Maui and because we’re sure you (like us) are not a bunch of billionaires you most likely were not in attendance. Sad face.

BUT the Internet was! Let’s take a look at the best of Day 1 brought to you by savvy social media-ers.

In one of the most unique opening ceremonies on tour,聽PGA TOUR golf was officially BACK on Thursday afternoon in gorgeous Maui. These views will make even the worst bogeys feel ok. That and the fact that there is no cut this week and every golfer is making thousands upon thousands of dollars to play. Kapalua will cost us mortals聽$325!

Courtesy of his one-shot victory at last year’s RBC Canadian Open, Jhonattan Vegas booked his ticket to Kapalua. But you already knew that, unless you didn’t notice him in those bright red pants…



Don’t you just feel so badly for these TOUR players? Personally I would be very distracted if this was the view from my office…


Jordan Spieth is surely ready to “bounce back” after his聽terrible聽2016 that only saw him win TWO tournaments (plus one in Australia) and make millions upon millions of dollars!


After the first round, here’s where we stand:

Nice work, Adam 馃槈 Jimmy Walker played near flawless golf. The leaderboard shows some pedigree but look for more of the big names to work their way up tomorrow. Can’t wait for three more days of primetime golf in Paradise!
